Eventful Outcome

Our "Girls Night Out" went GREAT!!! Such fun ladies stopped in and chatted and shopped and even brought back THEIR friends the next day!

Some lucky ladies scored some prize bags and even a chalkboard!

Just in...

This sweet twin bed goes great with this refurbished little side table. Priced seperately, these just happen to go well as they both seem to sit lower than the average bed and table. Stop in and check them out if you have a child that is ready for the "big bed".

Unique Repurpose!

I wish I had taken a 'before' pic of the TWO pieces of shipping crates that wwere used for this creation. Just by stacking them (attaching with wood screws), adding sturdy castors and giving it a paint and distressed treatment we now have a VERY unique coffee table! I found an old advertising image online, I do not speak spanish but liked the wording so I used my overhead projector and strategically hand painted it on. Definetly one-of-a-kind.





*please excuse the off color, for some reason the brighter image refuses to darken to the 'true' color. It's rather an 'army green' color.

*Shopping Season*

The holiday season has LANDED upon us...nope, we can not avoid it. So let's embrace it. :) Join in on our local event Thursday evening in downtown Auburn, In.



We will be offering refreshments, discounts and give aways! Stop in and chat with us as we LOVE meeting new people and visiting with our loyal friends/customers. :)

PERSONALIZATION.

We plan to offer different forms of personalizing on our merchandise for OUR customers. From etching initials on glassware to stenciling a name across one of our shabby'd up desks! Would LOVE to have some input or suggestions as this is something we truly wish to expand on. Here are a couple pieces we just brought in and you might guess....they are *SOLD....already. Whew! :)

I had some great company today and I must thank Cindy at Cottage Instincts for coming in to help me fluff the merchandise and add many fun touches of her own crafty-ness! :) Oh yes, she WILL be back soon.

October...cruising right along...

Yes, I know it's ONLY the 4th. I also know that I have brought several furniture and decor pieces in the last two days and they flew right back out the door to their new homes. I love it but I need to stop getting my creative hopes up at displaying my items. lol





I couple cute tables didn't even get to 'smile for the camera' as they were bought before I could get my camera out. Oh well, I am SURE they are in a happy home now. I heard some ladies traveled a little distance to visit my shop. If they are reading this, I hope they come back so I can meet them some time. I LOVE meeting people that visit our shop.

Off to work on another refurbishing project...or two. :)

It's looking bare...

I couldn't be more thankful. I continue to adjust my priorities with my new shop and home...and replentishing my shop....and keeping up with household tasks. I HAD to take a nap today so I can focus. I am getting there but I feel like my shop is naked. lol

This creamy round side table is the newest piece. It's a record, it's been in shop for three days. lol

Faster than I can post...

As I've stated before, things are going to come and go...Many of these items are already gone as I put these in on Saturday at open and by close of day our fantastic customers picked the shop over. We can't stress enough that we are constantly restocking, changing things up in shop so most days things will look totally diferent with each visit. :)

fresh merchandise and great furniture find

Recently took some items to shop and marked some things down to get them moving faster. So if you are in the area, stop in and grab some bargins! Look for the yellow star tags and some red clearance ones too.

Long story short we came across someone giving away their furniture. We are talking multiple dressers and a desk, cabinets, etc...




I am beyond thrilled to be giving these solid wood 1970's pieces a facelift and then get them into their new homes! BUT they are on the backburner for a month or so while I clean up smaller projects I have lying around here. :) I will share the before and afters for sure though.

ok not quite, there is always room to add items as they go pretty quickly but we did add some interesting things today.









the weather is starting to produce some great Estate sales and such. I love browsing thrift shops as well...always looking for that unique MUST.HAVE.ITEM!
