Junk in the Trunk

There is a first time "trunk sale" in our town and it's being held at a newer park (Reike) that has PLENTY of parking space. We are looking forward to this as our town doesn't typically have 'flea markets' or anything of the like. Hoping that this is a great success and becomes something annual (keeping fingers and toes crossed). :)

I've been working on painting anything and everything that hubby has done repair on or I have deemed easily refurbish-able (yeah, I know that isn't a word but work with me here...lol). We are not planning to have a packed spot but enough eye candy to encourage perspective buyers back to our booth space at Shops on the Square.

So if you are local...come visit us Saturday 8am-12noon. Last I heard we are near 40vendors. :)

"Fresh" stuff in shop. Our owls still find their way out the door as soon as we get them to shop. There are just a couple to choose from at the moment.

this sad sewing stand was in need of a little TLC. I removed the lid, replaced the torn/dirty top with some drop cloth and fresh padding. Added a little "fun" with lettering and gave the drab wood legs some COLOR! Also had to add a few screws to the leg hardware as some rivets were missing but it's good as new now! It's in shop and waiting for it's new home.

Many "new" items took into shop this week! LOVE the power of paint and how much it gives new life to dated items. :) Hope to share a few "make overs" very soon.

the year that is. Time sure is flying by. I've been rather dragging my feet lately as I have so many things that are dragging me in different directions. Throw a cold on top of that and crazy yo-yo weather and there you have it...my life. :) Oh, did that sound like a complaint? Not really, just a muddled excuse. lol

I took a break from gathering fun finds here in my work room at home to update my blog. The treasures I've picked up over the last month or so are finally getting tagged and ready to head to the shop. I'm not the greatest at getting things purchased and RIGHT.TO.SHOP. Partly because I love the items I find and also...I'm a bit of a procrastinator. Yeah, I just said that.

Realizing that I am turning 38 in a couple months I am starting to take notice of things I have not been so prompt to do or get done in my life. Things I use to do often...are MAYBE happening once a year. I want to make a plan to change that. I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to just let things go. Wow, wasn't really planning to share that but its late and I get chatty when its late. lol
