the year that is. Time sure is flying by. I've been rather dragging my feet lately as I have so many things that are dragging me in different directions. Throw a cold on top of that and crazy yo-yo weather and there you have it...my life. :) Oh, did that sound like a complaint? Not really, just a muddled excuse. lol

I took a break from gathering fun finds here in my work room at home to update my blog. The treasures I've picked up over the last month or so are finally getting tagged and ready to head to the shop. I'm not the greatest at getting things purchased and RIGHT.TO.SHOP. Partly because I love the items I find and also...I'm a bit of a procrastinator. Yeah, I just said that.

Realizing that I am turning 38 in a couple months I am starting to take notice of things I have not been so prompt to do or get done in my life. Things I use to do often...are MAYBE happening once a year. I want to make a plan to change that. I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to just let things go. Wow, wasn't really planning to share that but its late and I get chatty when its late. lol

fresh merchandise and great furniture find

Recently took some items to shop and marked some things down to get them moving faster. So if you are in the area, stop in and grab some bargins! Look for the yellow star tags and some red clearance ones too.

Long story short we came across someone giving away their furniture. We are talking multiple dressers and a desk, cabinets, etc...




I am beyond thrilled to be giving these solid wood 1970's pieces a facelift and then get them into their new homes! BUT they are on the backburner for a month or so while I clean up smaller projects I have lying around here. :) I will share the before and afters for sure though.

Estate Sale Find

I can't believe I have yet to share this with you. I was so thrilled to find these vintage fabrics about a week ago. They were hid among old rags, torn linens and discolored pillows. lol I haven't even measured the yardage but do plan to use it soon on a project or two. The blue striped ticking fabric has a good weight to it and can be used for most any small upholstry repairs...or even PILLOWS! The best part....yeah, the Raggedy Ann patterened muslin material. She's fuzzy. lol I can't wait to get started on a project with this material. Do you love vintage fabrics? I'm not even a seamstress or anything close to that but I do appreciate wonderfully old fabrics. :)

I personally do but on a simpler and more personal level. I place things in my home that have some form of meaning, history or use actual.everyday.photographs. Do you collect something that makes you happy? Please share!
